I recently bought “The Art of Extreme Self Care” by Cheryl Richardson and it inspired me to write my Absolute No list. I am learning to prioritise my needs and to look after myself. As the saying goes “you can’t pour from an empty cup”.
So, here goes:
I no longer:
- argue with people who see debating as a sport
- keep quiet when someone says something that upsets of offends me (I will politely tell them that I am upset by their comment and would prefer if they would consider the feelings of others)
- eat when I’m not hungry – this is something that will be a challenge for me, I have a tendency towards comfort eating when I am stressed/upset/angry
- feel guilty about saying no when it is the thing that is best for me
